LONDON, (24th August 2012) – Zero Motorcycles, the global leader in the electric motorcycle industry, today announced their first ever limited edition model – the Zero S ZF9 Limited Edition. To celebrate winning the “European eMotorbike of the Year Award” for the second consecutive year, Zero has produced only 30 of the sleek Limited Edition motorcycles.
Each of the exclusive Zero S ZF9 Limited Edition motorcycles features these options as standard:
The Limited Edition Zero S ZF9 is ready to order at Zero dealerships now and will be delivered in early September 2012. The recommended retail price is £ 12,195 incl. VAT. The motorcycle quantity is very limited and will have to be prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis.
For the second consecutive year, the Zero S has been named “eMotorbike of the Year 2012” at Europe’s Clean Week 2020 elections hosted at the famed Circuit Zolder in Belgium. The 2012 Zero S ZF9, the first production electric motorcycle capable of exceeding 100 miles of range on a single charge, won the event’s “road” section. The Zero S’s broad torque band and brushless motor provide for stealthy acceleration and an impressive top speed of 88 mph. Additionally, the regenerative braking allows riders to recoup energy during deceleration. As a result, a panel of 12 European specialists, who extensively tested all vehicles at Clean Week 2020, declared the Zero S best in class.
“We’re delighted the Zero S has defended its title for the second year, and to celebrate its success with our customers we have produced this exclusive, stunning looking Limited Edition which comes with a lot of accessories,” said Edwin Belonje, managing director, Zero Motorcycles Europe.
