Driven by Zero Motorcycles’ revolutionary Z-Force™ technology, our motorcycles are designed to be high performance and lightweight. When combined with our proprietary lithium ion power pack, a Zero electric motor delivers more horsepower and greater acceleration. With an electric motor you get 100% torque at all times for instantaneous throttle response and incredible off-the-line performance.

Our first production motorcycle, the Zero X, accelerates from 0-30 in under 2 seconds. It delivers over 50 ft/lbs of torque and similar performance to a 250cc gas powered off-road motorcycle. Our street motorcycles build off of this technology and are designed to aggressively take on any urban environment.

Because Zero Motorcycles’ designs are so amazingly light, the power-to-weight ratio in each motorcycle is unsurpassed by anything else on the market.

Among the most significant advances of our 2010 product line is the revolutionary Z-Force™ Air Induction System. A platform for performance, this system allows us to produce more horsepower from lighter and more compact motors by increasing the airflow through the heart of the motor. Our new throttle technology modulates the increased power to provide riders with exacting control over the acceleration.

SAFE AND POWERFUL

Unlike our competitors, Zero Motorcycles only uses completely safe second-generation lithium ion cells to ensure against thermal runaway (fire). Our power packs also feature an intelligent monitoring system with active rebalancing that constantly tracks the voltage and temperature of each and every cell.

Our high output power packs deliver incredible amperages without overheating. The result is the highest power-to-weight ratio available in any electric vehicle.

PROGRAMMABLE POWER

Every motorcycle that Zero produces is engineered for performance. This means optimizing the controller for maximum acceleration and responsiveness. The acceleration curve on each motorcycle is tailored to meet the demands of even the most aggressive riding in the city or on the dirt.

Our off road electric motorcycles feature the ability to customize both the speed and acceleration. With a flip of the switch you can limit the top speed to 30mph. Another switch sets the acceleration from a beginner friendly “easy” mode to a highly aggressive “sport” mode.
