Created by Neal Saiki (a world renowned and award winning designer) Zero Motorcycles’ frames are engineered to combine high strength with low weight. Each frame is made using 100% aircraft grade aluminum. Developed using cutting edge computer aided design software, the entire Zero X frame weighs only 18 pounds and the Zero S weighs only 29 pounds.

Zero Motorcycles frames are welded by the world’s most highly skilled aluminum welders. Critical areas are ensured against failure using double pass welds and other techniques.

After welding, the entire frame is heat treated to restore the strength around the weld areas. The treatment process involves heating the frame in a furnace and then submerging it in a solution-bath to quench the hot metal.

Finally, critical areas such as pivots, brake mounts, and chain-guide mounts are re-milled for absolute accuracy.

SUSPENSION

Zero Motorcycles’ suspension systems are engineered by the industry’s leaders to meet the needs of our powerful, yet lightweight, electric motorcycle technology. Each motorcycle includes a custom-built, adjustable front fork and rigid double diamond rear swingarm. The rear wheel stays planted using a coil rear shock with a fully adjustable spring preload and easily tuned damping. Our suspension systems are designed to maintain traction and control in aggressive situations when responsive handling is required.

Zero warranties its frames to be free from defects for one full year from date of purchase.
