Customer Service Specialist I
This position will interact with customers to provide a response to inquiries, concerns and requests about Zero Motorcycles products and services. This position will be required to document and process information using SFDC, Zoom and other CRM programs. This position will work out of our corporate offices in Scotts Valley, California and reports to the Director of Customer Service/After Sales.
- Communicates with customers either by telephone or electronically.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, following S.O.P 80/20.
- Handle and resolve customer complaints using ‘Fix the customer first’ philosophy.
- Provide customer knowledge product support.
- Be a Zero product expert, cross train with Sales & Marketing Dept.
- Record 100% of details of inquiries, comments, complaints & actions taken.
- Transfer calls to internal departments. Inc: Sales, Service, Engineering, marketing and accounting.
- Follow up on customer interactions (W.O.W).
- Ensure customer satisfaction is maintained, promotes customer retention.
- Check daily ZMC Survey results, respond if necessary.
- Participates in on-going product training.
- Escalate customer issues to customer relations director.
- Process calls to customers regarding campaigns, Recall and SB.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service experience in a call center is preferred.
- Preferably with 1-2 years dealer or automotive OM related experience preferred.

Distribution and Sales Operations Administrator
Zero Motorcycles is currently looking to fill the position of a Distribution and Sales Operations Administrator. This position works directly with the sales, manufacturing, shipping and accounting departments, and is in support of the distribution of Zero Motorcycles products worldwide. This position is located in the Scotts Valley, California headquarters and will report to the Director of North American Sales.
Vehicle Distribution and Administration: Responsible for administering every aspect of vehicles sold by Zero Motorcycles through Dealers, Distributors and in some cases direct to consumers. Coordinate shipping, billing, and tracking of vehicles ensuring that customers and partners have the best possible experience when receiving products that they have purchased.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Plan and manage worldwide allocation of vehicles from production to fulfill order demand/forecast.
- Prepare and process invoice approvals for Capital Financing of vehicles to Zero Motorcycles dealers and distributors.
- Create and prepare all vehicle registration and title documents, securing all proper signatures prior to mailing.
- Ensure that any and all required registration paperwork needed for our consumers to obtain proper registration of their new vehicles within their state or country.
- Create and/or assist logistics team with any documentation requirements by US States and International countries where our products are shipped.
- Handle all post sales and delivery question in regards to Export / Import / Registration of their products.
- Manage Finished Goods Inventory and asset conversion upon shipment.
- Reporting:
- Weekly update of FGI status.
- Weekly update of COV status and allocation, availability for sale.
- Weekly update of COV license plate allocation.
- Communication:
- Allocation and dispatch plan with sales team.
- Distribution of customer invoices and Title/Registration documents promptly upon shipment.
- Administrative duties in an environment that maintains strict processes and guidelines for optimal performance.

Purchasing Engineer
Zero Motorcycles is currently looking for a purchasing engineer. The successful candidate will have a role in product development within a cross-functional product/platform project team. In this role, the individual will be responsible for successful sourcing and integration of supplier components into new vehicles and/or systems. This position will work out of our corporate offices in Scotts Valley, California and reports to the Director of Developmental Purchasing.
- Cost – Key resource for developing cost targets for new product vehicles, vehicle systems and components, communicating component part or vehicle system performance information, and managing activities to control/reduce vehicle system costs.
- Product Development – Assist the Director of Developmental Purchasing to plan and execute the successful launch of new products. Ensure that activity within the purchasing community aligns with the Zero Product Development Methodology. Achieve compliance to the Methodology by managing QCT to targets and planning/tracking of component, development, and capital costs. Explore new sourcing and process ideas and suggestions with purchasing peers and suppliers. Manage transition of components from Developmental Purchasing to Operations Purchasing.
- Communication - Serve as a liaison between Zero’s Supplier base and our team members in Mechanical/Electrical/Powertrain Engineering, Industrial Design, Test, Marketing, Manufacturing and Operations Purchasing. Provide regular developmental purchasing status updates on component parts or vehicle systems to the enterprise and leadership.
- The position requires a Bachelor’s degree.
- Electrical Engineer preferred.
- Mechanical Engineering with experience with electronics.
- A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated performance in technical competencies of procurement, engineering, or operations is required.
- Fluent in Mandarin is a strong plus.
- The candidate must have strong knowledge and experience in the development, production, and/or procurement of components and/or subsystems, preferably within a power sports or motorcycle manufacturing environment.
- The candidate must have a thorough understanding of how to implementing strategic purchasing relationships with suppliers.
- Attention to detail and good communication skills are required.
- The candidate must have strong knowledge of concurrent product and process development techniques and supply chain management, preferably through contribution to new product launches.
- The candidate must have a strong knowledge of operations techniques including but not limited to quality systems, lean manufacturing/development, cost modeling/analysis, benchmarking, and other continuous improvement tools.
- The candidate must be able to travel domestically and off shore to suppliers, conferences, etc., as required.

Ownership Experience/Communications Mgr.
Zero Motorcycles is currently seeking an Ownership Experience/Communications Manager who will be responsible for bringing customers closer to the brand and developing them as strong brand advocates through customer experience, loyalty and referral programs. This includes generating engaging programs and materials, innovative advertising, and compelling messaging to support these activities. The successful candidate will have exceptional copy writing as well as program management skills and the capacity to understand the interconnectedness of the customer’s experience with the brand at every junction. This position will collaborate heavily within the department as well as with Sales and Service to ensure that customer communications are continually being improved. The scope of the role requires phenomenal problem solving abilities and the desire to take on new challenges with the end goal of helping create a more vibrant and unified brand as witnessed by the extremely strong brand advocates developed through the process.
- Develop and manage programs to engage customers and pull them closer to the brand (e.g: Customer Referral Programs).
- Write copy for newsletters, email campaigns, websites, brochures and other customer facing materials as required to help foster a more vibrant customer community.
- Ensure exceptional messaging across all corporate communications and enforce format/style consistency.

Creative Design Mgr
Zero Motorcycles is currently seeking a Creative Design Manager. This position requires someone who is excellent with design, highly organized and understands how to rapidly execute on the needs of fast moving international projects. The successful candidate must be able to produce intelligent, creative solutions that reflect the personality of the Zero Motorcycles Brand. This positions must be able to manage other members of the team and outside contractors as required to keep up with fast paced job demands. Projects will range from supporting the development of digital/web interfaces to the creation of internationalized versions of all printed collateral. As such, experience working on websites, point of purchase displays and printed collateral is highly valued. Working on international marketing and design projects is also a plus.
In cooperation with the marketing team, this positions responsibilities will include supporting all design related activities, owning the development of international marketing materials, supporting photo/video shoots, designing general marketing collateral, laying out internal company documents, designing web pages, modifying ad campaigns and generally supporting sales/marketing efforts however required. This individual must be a flexible team player and able to meet tight deadlines. In addition, they must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Effectively manage and lead projects in visual creative design, photography, video and production across all printed and online media.
- Manage the deployment of branding across the company.
- Manage sourcing of models, photographers, videographers and crew, stylists and photo directors.
- Envision and craft creative briefs, incorporating seasonal merchandise direction with location "stories", ultimately bringing those visions to life in design, photography and copy.
- Budgeting, expense control and approval of photo shoots.

- Support the creation of high quality print pieces, POP displays, brochures, ads and other physical collateral in multiple languages.
- Photoshop/retouch high resolution images for large format and high volume printing.
- Production tasks associated with product marketing and promotional materials.
- Occasionally develop and layout brochures, newsletters, advertisements, etc.
- Work with vendors to get brochures, displays, t-shirts and other collateral produced.
- Assist, as needed, in the design of accessories, apparel or parts.
- Occasionally edit videos, produce DVDs or other multimedia materials.
- Manage the outsourcing of large image production projects
- 6 - 8 years of combined experience in the following areas: direct response creative, design, video production, pre-press/print production and photo-shoot direction.
- Possess a high standard of visual design, and be able to demonstrate this.
- Support all design related activities, content internationalization, and photo/video shoots.
- Experience working with international marketing teams.
- Experience of moving from design into production at a rapid pace.
- Experience developing physical marketing collateral: POP displays, event set ups, brochures, advertisements, etc.

Purchasing Director
Zero Motorcycles is currently looking to fill the role of Purchasing Director. This position directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in some or all of the following areas; material planning, material analysis, logistics, purchasing and supply chain management by performing the duties personally or through subordinates. This position oversees the transporting, distribution of parts and finished goods worldwide. The Purchasing Director is responsible for establishing key performance goals and metrics and measuring results against those standards in particular continued negotiations of cost reduction exercises.
- Manages controls and directs staff to achieve key performance targets including minimization of excess and obsolete inventory and continual review of cost reductions.
- Ensures the timely delivery of materials at the most economical cost, consistent with quality standards, affecting quality by assuring that suspicious material is identified and that material is handled, stored and delivered properly.
