Mechanic / Service Technician

Summary of Position:

As mechanic/service technician you are responsible for the pre-delivery inspection, rework of quality issues, repair and maintenance of Zero motorcycles and fleet. Together with the other Customer Service team members, you will closely interact with our Dealer network for efficient and effective problem solving. You will ensure that all workshop requirements are met. The mechanic/service technician is a full-time position based in Noord-Scharwoude, The Netherlands. In this position you will report directly to the After Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-delivery inspection and preparation of new motorcycles
  • Rework quality issues of new motorcycles
  • Repair and maintenance of motorcycles. Perform (remote) diagnostics on defective motorcycles
  • Perform routine, preventive maintenance and repair on company owned vehicles (“COV’s”)
  • Test and document proper operating parameters in Zoomweb
  • Fully record and document all parts and tools required for preparation, maintenance, and repair
  • Communicate, coordinate, evaluate and schedule repairs with the Field Service Engineer
  • In order to work properly, safely, and effectively, you are responsible for the condition of the workshop
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Hands-on assistance with (international) events and fairs if deemed necessary
  • Participate in company planned trainings
  • Training to understand, utilize, and develop our systems and tools, i.e. Teamviewer, Terra Term, and Zoomweb
  • Order-picking and warehouse assistance if required
  • Assist with field service repairs if required
Required Education/Experience:
  • Technical School (degree LTS+ or similar), with proven expertise of technical and electrical installations
  • Driving license A and/or B
  • Certificate forklift driver, recognized by the BMWT and industrial standard certificates like High Voltage NEN9140 are a plus
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • In the event that the employee will be working with electric/hydraulic/pneumatic tools that influence the noise level, appropriate ear protection must be duly observed
  • As the employee will be occasionally working on High Voltage circuitries, all safety procedures must be duly observed to minimize any risk of an electrical shock
  • During lifting and hoisting of heavy objects, safety clothing and footwear must be utilized
  • While testing motorcycles, occasionally the employee is exposed to rotary objects, i.e. wheels
  • The employee is regularly required to lift up to 10 kg and occasionally to lift up to 25 kg. For lifting over 25 kg necessary tools are available.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch

Sales Support Representative

Summary of Position:

The Sales Operations representative will support partners (including dealers and distributors throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa) by supporting the efforts of our sales operations team throughout these regions. Your team members, which include sales operations – and sales support representatives, are the primary interface between our partners and the company. You will act as the first point of contact for dealers and distributors and assist them in placing new motorcycle orders, communicate sales opportunities, special discount programs and take care of retail registrations after the bikes have been delivered to the end customers.

On a weekly basis, you will analyze incoming sales orders and retail registrations, identify trends and lead improvements in sales operations processes. You keep track on the available models and provide hands on and virtual system support to dealers. In addition you improve the use of our partner portals and communicate with partners on upcoming events and share information about sales leads.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure rapid and accurate responses to partners’ questions as received by the sales operations team via telephone, email, and partner portal
  • Enforce the correct use of our Salesforce CRM system to record details of interactions with partners and suppliers
  • Communicate and coordinate with team members the latest sales opportunities and special sales programs to maximize sales efforts
  • Work on continuous improvements of sales (support) processes and procedures
Desired Education/Experience:
  • HBO
  • Prior experience in the electric vehicle , automotive - or international (trade) industries
  • Experience using Salesforce.com is a pré
  • Proficiency with above-basic computer applications including Word, Excel and power point.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills - verbal and written
  • Fluent speaker of at least 3 foreign languages of which English, Spanish and third European language is preferred. German or French is a pré
  • Must be business-focused and service-oriented person
  • Analytical approach to problem analysis and problem-solving with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to multi-task on several projects and collaborate with partners of various business levels
  • Able to prioritize projects and escalate issues to the appropriate parties as necessary
Other Requirements:
  • Licensed motorcycle rider is a pré (A2 or A)
  • On occasion, little international travel will be required as well a hands on support on events.
