Summary of Position:

The International Logistics Program Manager will be responsible to support all logistics activities throughout EMEA. This includes the importing of motorcycles and spare parts into Europe, as well as distribution of these items from various 3PL locations throughout the EMEA region. This position has responsibility for inventory control in our 3PL facility in Rotterdam, as well as the service center in Noord-Scharwoude. In this role, you will have primary responsibility to provide logistical support to our dealer network and resolve any delivery issues that arise. You will also work with our carriers and service providers to ensure adequate operating procedures are in place to support our continuing growth in EMEA.

This is a dual-reporting position, with reporting to both the Director of Global Logistics in the USA and the Managing Director of European Operations. The Director of Global Logistics in the USA is responsible for directing, training and prioritizing the work for this position. The Managing Director will provide daily infrastructure support and tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interact with logistics suppliers on daily basis, manage performance, establish regular business reviews and reporting
  • Process sales orders and receipts within our ERP system
  • Identify operational improvement opportunities and lead their implementation
  • Implement, review and analyze KPIs with all service providers
  • Ensure compliance with all current regulations relating to our products
  • Lead cross-border activities relating to Customs and VAT activities
  • Lead and drive continuous improvement projects such as order entry EDI
  • Develop a tracking system for company-owned assets—primarily motorcycles assigned to various departments throughout Europe
  • Reconcile inventory variances; identify root-causes; suggest and implement necessary changes
  • Assume primary responsibility for periodic physical inventory audits
  • Assist in the movement of RMAs being returned from dealers and/or customers
Key Skills and Attributes:
  • Proficiency in international transportation
  • Bilingual in Dutch/English
  • Experience with managing 3PL parts depot models
  • Proficiency in order management
  • Proficiency in ERP systems usage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Hands-on experience with FedEx, DHL, and TNT shipping/tracking systems
  • Experience with and certification for Dangerous Goods storage and transportation
  • Flexibility within a changing environment
Required Education/Experience:
  • 8+ years experience in European-based international logistics management, including ocean, air, rail, and ground transportation
  • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management or equivalent business-related field
  • Industry-specific experience with Dutch import law, deferred VAT, and EU Customs Classification
  • Bilingual in Dutch/English

Summary of Position:

The Marketing Manager EMEA is responsible for working with the corporate office in the US to create the appropriate marketing strategy for the EU region and implementing all aspects of Zero Motorcycles (ZMC) corporate marketing and communications strategy in the European-, Middle East- and African area. This includes localization of all collateral, digital platforms, advertising campaigns, sales promotions, dealer POP, demo events, targeted email campaigns and all other aspects of implementing Zero Motorcycles corporate marketing strategy in EMEA. A successful candidate will have exceptional communication as well as program management skills and the capacity to understand the interconnectedness of the customer’s experience with the brand at every junction. This position will collaborate heavily with Zero’s corporate marketing team to make sure that all marketing activities meet Zero Motorcycles brand and corporate guidelines, and follow all corporate systems and processes. The scope of the role requires phenomenal problem solving abilities and the desire to take on new challenges with the end goal of helping create a more vibrant and unified brand as measured by continued growth in Zero Motorcycles’ brand awareness and lead generation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy
    • Responsible for implementing strategy to ensure that marketing hits key performance targets.
    • Manage rollout of European product launches/ product management including adapting product positioning by market, market development, developing consumer facing marketing materials and related events.
    • Set and manage EU social media strategy. Create content for targeted markets. Reach out to customers, media and staff to develop interesting content that generates more interest around the brand.
    • Develop and enforce the brand guidelines alongside the design team.
    • Implement the Global marketing structure and tailor it to the European- and MEA markets;
    • Develop and manage the regional marketing budget(s);
    • Ensure compliance with European privacy laws;
  • PR and Communication
    • Manage European PR strategy, execution and agencies.
    • Manage all press communications including drafting European targeted press and corporate news releases, interact with journalists and editors, respond to press contacts, help manage the press database, set-up test ride evaluations of Zero products, collate press tests and feedback for product development purposes.
    • Localization of all content and messaging of Zero Motorcycles corporate positioning and communication campaigns.
    • Write/manage copy for newsletters, email campaigns, websites, brochures and other customer facing material as required to help foster a more vibrant customer community.
    • Ensure exceptional messaging across all corporate communications and enforce format/style consistency.
    • Develop and/or write new sections of the corporate website.
    • Coordinate local photo- and video shoots if necessary.
  • Advertising and Events
    • Defining advertising / marketing segments
    • Oversee the development of innovative advertising and marketing campaigns to drive more floor traffic to dealer showrooms. Work with corporate digital marketing team to develop PPC campaigns, meta-tags and key words relevant to target markets.
    • Interact with the sales teams to develop all components necessary to ensure that demo event promotions are communicated effectively from start to finish
Required Education/Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing communications
  • International marketing experience;
  • Digital marketing experience including website and social media leadership experience
  • Experience in the automotive and/or motorcycle industry and dealer networks is a strong asset;
  • Experience with working with different cultures and countries.
  • Copy writing experience is a plus;
  • The right candidate has at least a university or HBO+ level education in marketing/communication.

Other Requirements:
  • Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
  • Motorcycle and car license required (B +A2).
